The 10k race organised by South Tipperary Sports Partnership and North Tipperary Sports Partnership kicked off at 2pm at the Mall Clonmel. A warm up was conducted in the Kickham Army Barracks by Nikki from the local ‘Kool Schools’ just before this, and got everybody psyched up for the run/walk ahead. Elaine Cullinan, Co-ordinator with the North Tipperary Sports Partnership commented ‘The event was open to all runners, walkers and joggers so the aim was to get around the course, and enjoy it and have fun. We are delighted to have had our first wheelchair athlete Rosaleen O’Leary, representing Rehab Care Clonmel, with us this year.’

Valerie Connolly, South Tipperary Sports Partnership commented ‘We are really happy with how smoothly everything ran. Great praise must go to the town of Clonmel, and the organising committee who really got behind the event. They were Clonmel Borough Council, Clonmel Gardai, Tipperary County Athletics, Tipp FM, Clonmel AC, Civil Defence, Clonmel Traders Association and members of both North Tipperary and South Tipperary Sports Partnerships. We would like to thank all the volunteers who gave their valuable time to this event.’
